Hexagon introduces AEON, an industrial humanoid

(Stockholm, Sweden) Hexagon launched AEON, an advanced humanoid robot, at Hexagon LIVE Global. AEON combines Hexagon's measurement technologies, AI, and autonomous systems expertise. Designed to address labor shortages and tackle industrial use cases, AEON features best-in-class locomotion, sensor fusion, and AI-based spatial intelligence. It offers agility, awareness, versatility, and power autonomy with a unique battery swapping mechanism. AEON will improve safety and drive autonomy across sectors like automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and logistics.

Hexagon's Robotics division is partnering with Schaeffler and Pilatus to pilot AEON in various industrial applications, including manipulation, machine tending, part inspection, and reality capture. Technology leaders NVIDIA, Microsoft, and maxon are also partners, with NVIDIA providing accelerated computing, Microsoft Azure enabling scalable development, and maxon powering AEON's locomotion.
